About Google Theme
Google Theme is a free extensions for the Google Chrome web browser that aims to create a better experience for Chrome users who prefer to browse at night. Instead of the default white pages that appear when opening a window or new tabs, they’re replaced with dark ones that subtly feature the colours of the Google logo at the top. This provides not only a dark theme, but one that is a little different and unique compared to the standard black or gray. Browsing at night can be hard on the eyes with the way browsers are designed. White pages means that brightness is intensified when the light around you are low, and it can have a negative affect on vision. Even when the screen brightness is adjusted and turned low, it can cause discomfort and a less than pleasurable browsing experience. With Google Theme, however, standard white pages are replaced with dark ones. Furthermore, they feature the red, green, blue and yellow of the Google logo subtly at the top. While most dark themes perform the same task equally, Google Theme does it with a twist and includes a bit of colour not usually seen in dark modes. In some cases, it’s just enough to make the browsing experience a little more enjoyable and not as boring as standard flat black or white.
